Social Setting Detoxification Programs
Our detoxification unit is a social setting (non-medical) facility for men and women 18 and older. Admission is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. To be admitted, you must be a Missouri resident with a need for detoxification services (determined by a simple assessment). Staff members monitor progress and provide supervision and care during withdrawal from alcohol and drugs.
While in the detoxification unit, clients are kept safe and comfortable while their bodies rid themselves of alcohol and/or drugs. Should physical complications arise, clients are quickly escorted to nearby medical facilities for care.
Length of stay depends on individual needs. A clinical review with the Missouri Department of Mental Health Division of Alcohol and Drugs must be filed if more than three days of care are necessary. All clients are assisted in seeking continued treatment, oriented to Recovery Support and Twelve Step meetings, and are encouraged to engage in aftercare programming following treatment. Before leaving the program, at their request, clients may be screened by a Qualified Substance Abuse Professional.
Deaf/hearing impaired clients may also be served in our programs through our use of local interpreting services.
