Detox Attendant
GENERAL DESCRIPTION
This employee is responsible for assisting the Supervisor of the Detoxification Unit.
REPORTS TO
He/she is supervised by the Detox Supervisor.
JOB DUTIES
Duties include but are not limited to the following:
- Insure that all safety and sanitary requirements are being maintained.
- The overall safety and comfort of all clients who are assigned to this unit.
- Insure that all supplies needed are available (linen, first aid, food, etc.).
- Maintain all Detox files and logs accurately.
- Insure that all Center expectations and curfews are kept, and report to supervisor any behavior which may assist counselors working with a client.
- Screen social Detox clients as to their admission eligibility to the program.
- Monitor Detox clients to insure that each client's recovery need are being met.
- Log all activities occurring on a shift that is relevant to clients' progress or behavior.
- Maintain an inventory of all items necessary to maintain sanitary standards and notify the supervisor of any shortages as they become noticeable.
- Performance of any other duties as assigned by supervisor or management.
QUALIFICATIONS
Must have a high school diploma or GED.
Shall not be currently under the supervision of Federal, State, County and/or City corrections department.
