Privacy Policy

Kansas City Community Center (KCCC) takes your privacy seriously. Please read the following to learn more about our privacy policy.

General Information

KCCC collects personal information when you setup a login account with the KCCC CommunityBlog or CommunityForum. When you register we ask for information such as your name, email address, etc. KCCC automatically receives and records information from your computer and browser, including your IP address, cookie information, software and hardware attributes, and the page you request. We use the information for the following general purposes: to customize the content you see, fulfill your requests for services, improve our services, contact you, conduct research and provide anonymous Web statistics reporting for our use only.

Information Sharing and Disclosure

Kansas City Community Center does not rent, sell or share personal information about you with other people or non-affiliated companies except to provide services you've requested. We believe it is necessary to share information in situations involving potential threats to the physical safety of any person, violations of KCCC’s terms of use, or as otherwise required by law.

Cookies

KCCC may send and access cookies on your computer.

Confidentiality and Security on the Web

KCCC limits access to personal information about you to employees who we believe need to come into contact with that information to provide services to you or in order to do their jobs.

Confidentiality of our Clients

KCCC is dedicated to ensuring the rights of all clients in all aspects of its programs. This includes confidentiality. Federal laws regulate what information we can and cannot release about a client. If you contact any of our program locations, please be aware that we cannot release or share information about a specific client to anyone without a release of information signed by the client. Staff answering the phone will not have that information immediately available. Staff will assist you to the extent that they can, but they will not be able to tell you whether a client is in a program or not. We encourage family members and other support providers to request that the client sign an information release form. This helps ensure the client maintains positive support upon their release from a KCCC program.

Changes to this Privacy Policy

Kansas City Community Center may update this policy at any time. We will notify you about any significant changes.
